This specific page is the requests page for the Illustration Workshop. Anyone can make a request for an illustration to be created or improved. The standard format for making a request is shown below, along with general advice, and should be followed. Most charts and graphs on the web are in the public domain. See Template:PD-chart; no need to create another free chart here if it already exists on the web.

  • I propose to make a vectorized national emblem of Kalmyk ASSR (1940–1943, 1958–1978) based on this SVG vector image of the Crimean ASSR national emblem. At the same time, all the state name texts on the shield and all the motto text on the cloth strip below, except the five Cyrillic letters "РСФСР" at the top, were removed and replaced with the state name texts and motto texts in the Kalmyk ASSR national emblem. The format and typesetting shall be based on all the texts on the Kalmyk ASSR emblem.

These are logos of ministries of the Syrian government. Could someone please convert them into SVG format?
The Syrian emblem (the golden eagle) can be taken from here: File:Emblem of Syria.svg.
The text must always be green (even when it is white in the JPG file), specifically this color: #002623.
In some cases, the Syrian emblem and the text are not centered but aligned to the right; however, in the SVG version they should be centered, like all the others.
The only exception is the last logo, which is slightly different from the others and must be kept exactly as it is in the SVG.
In other words, image number 1 can be used as an example of how all the others should be made, except for the last one.
The background must always be transparent. In the SVG, include only the emblem and the text in Arabic and in English.

Hey, have you begun working on it? I hope it's not too late since I forgot to mention that the eagle's head was taken from File:Emblem_of_the_Polish_People's_Army_land_forces_(1972)_(2).png and pasted onto .svg eagles from File:POL_Insygnia_Sil_Zbrojnych.svg. Would appreciate an SVG version of the pre 1920 device, which was a bronze branch of oak leaves. Read about the device here. A number of photos online which could be helpful in the process of creating the graphics: [1], [2] and [3]. As for the colours, it’s bronze, i.e. the same colours scheme as the 1920–1994 version.

Speaking only for myself: the effort required for vectorizing cannot be judged just by whether an image “looks simple.” What really matters is whether vector data already exists and how easy it is to find.
Logo Washington Monthly.svg: I searched for vector data for a long time but couldn’t find any. I still decided to vectorize it myself.
Logos are official assets and must be reproduced precisely. That means I take a lot of care — and the necessary time — when working on a logo like this.
So if requests here are not handled in the order or speed you expected, there are likely technical reasons. No one is ignoring you on purpose.
Relisting your requests will not change this. It tends to create confusion and could even have the opposite effect.
You could try to engage the contributors and motivate them — for example, by explaining why you want 17 football logos vectorized. ✓ Done --Mrmw (talk) 15:17, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

At the same time, all the state name texts on the shield and all the motto text on the cloth strip below, except the four Cyrillic letters "АССР" at the sub-top, were removed and replaced with the state name texts and motto texts in the Chuvash ASSR national emblem. The format and typesetting shall be based on all the texts on the Chuvash ASSR emblem, but the sub-top texts (including a two-line Cyrillic texts "ЧУВАШСКАЯ/ЧӐВАШ" in the left, and a single-line Cyrillic texts "АССР" in the right) match to the original JPG image.
